The Green Dream is ESG Clarity‘s new video series, where we interview key figureheads in the responsible investment world to get their views on the latest trends, news and movements in the evolving landscape
In this episode, Lawrence Gosling, editorial director at ESG Clarity’s parent firm Bonhill, interviews James Clark, senior fund analyst and co-manager of the Sustainable World Model Portfolios at Hawksmoor Investment Management.
They discuss the confusion caused by the variety of definitions in the ESG world and the development of Hawksmoor’s impact, integration and exclusion framework.
Clark also says he welcomes impact reports produced by fund managers and the IA framework around definitions and fund labelling – although the latter could be further off.
They also discuss the strong inflows seen into ESG and, despite this, how it is not yet mainstream; Clark hopes for “more and more” sustainable fund launches to allow the industry to move in that direction.
