City Week spotlights ESG at 10th financial services forum

City Week 2020, the annual international financial services forum, is set to take place, in virtual format, on 21 -22 September 2020

City Week has announced a line-up of prominent responsible investment speakers for its next international financial services forum, for which ESG Clarity is media partner.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary and set to take place on 21-22 September, the event has more than 80 high profile figures lined up including John Glen MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury; Steven Maijoor, Chairman, European Securities and Markets Authority and Dr Hoesung Lee, Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

More than 1,000 prominent figures from the international financial services community, including market participants and policy makers drawn from around the world, are expected to join the event to discuss the most pressing matters affecting the international financial services industry in the era of Covid-19.

Organised by City & Financial Global under a partnership between the UK Government’s Department for International Trade, the City of London Corporation, TheCityUK, UK Finance and London & Partners, City Week 2020 will address topics such as:

In her keynote address, Anshula Kant, managing director and chief financial officer, World Bank Group is expected to cover sustainable bonds and raising financing to address emerging priorities in light if Covid-19, while Dame Elizabeth Corley, chair of the board of directors, Impact Investing Institute will participate in a panel discussion alongside Saker Nusseibeh CBE, CEO, Federated Hermes, focusing on sustainability, social impact investing and ESG.
