Comgest appoints former OECD sustainable finance lead

Global equity asset manager Comgest has appointed Catriona Marshall (pictured) as head of sustainable investment.

Marshall previously worked at Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s (OECD) as head of sustainable finance in its financial markets division. Here, she led a team of expert analysts advising countries on sustainable finance.

This advice included developing policy guidance for the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group on best practices to strengthen ESG investing and to finance a climate transition.

Further, Marshall has led the responsible investment and responsible development teams at Comgest since July. With the addition of Marshall, the two teams now have 10 members with an average of 13 years’ industry experience, according to the firm.

Catriona’s appointment comes as Sébastien Thévoux-Chabuel, Comgest’s head of responsible investment departs the firm to focus on his executive PhD in shareholder engagement.
