In the UK, there are still more fund managers called David or Dave than there are female equivalents. According to March 2021 Morningstar research, there are just 45 women fund managers in the UK, running just 95 funds between them – equating to just 7.7% of the UK-domiciled funds.
Frustratingly, it is unlikely these figures will be changing any time soon.
During the past two years, there has been only a 0.5% increase in the number of female fund managers in the UK.
