Financial firms are realising “they need to invest in nature to transform our economy rather than offset for its failure”, according to Marc Palahí, CEO of the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance and a leading expert on forests and global change in the latest ESG Out Loud podcast.
Palahí, who is also chief nature officer at Lombard Odier, also discusses why forests are the “most important ecological infrastructure on the planet” and the CBA’s 10-point action plan to teach firms how relearn how to live within planetary boundaries.
Furthermore, he shares examples of the organisation’s Living Labs in indigenous communities and what he learned spending two weeks with one such community in the Amazon forest.
