First Sentier Investors has been certified as a B Corporation (B Corp) company this month.
Exceeding the minimum 80 point criteria set by B Lab to achieve a score of 107.2, First Sentier CEO Mark Steinberg (pictured) said the certification provides the firm with the framework to becoming a more responsible business.
“The certification means we are now part of a community of companies with a shared goal to transform the communities in which we live and operate for the benefit of the people and our planet. B Corp Certification provides us with an important point of differentiation in our industry and represents a commitment to meet the highest standards of social and environmental impact,” he said.
“Through the certification process, our operations were rigorously assessed to gain assurance that our business is operating to high standards from an environmental, social and governance point of view. We were also able to identify areas where we can improve.”
