Franklin Templeton has added a third article 9 Paris-aligned ETF to its £12bn LibertyShares range.
The Franklin MSCI China Paris-Aligned Climate UCITS ETF will track the EU Climate Benchmark PAB and MSCI China Climate Paris-Aligned Indices and includes large and mid-cap Chinese equity securities. It will overweight Chinese companies transitioning to a lower-carbon economy while being fully aligned with the decarbonisation goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.
Head of ETF business development, EMEA, Caroline Baron (pictured) said aligning with the EU Climate Benchmark regulation will help with transparency and more standardised reporting.
Julian Ide, head of EMEA distribution, added: “China remains a key emerging market equity holding for our clients and an important player in the broader global green transition.”
The fund will be registered in Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, the UK and Nordics. It has a total expense ratio of 0.22%.
