GRI has appointed Robin Hodess as the firm’s new chief executive, beginning in February 2025.
Hodess will join from her current position as chief of strategy and impact for The B Team, the non-profit initiative aimed to promote business practices that are more centred on humanity and the climate.
Hodess joins with 18 years’ experience in senior leadership roles with the global anti-corruption NGO Transparency International, and other director-level positions overseeing policy, advocacy and research. Further, Hodess holds various board position roles, including: chair of B Lab Germany Supervisory board; board member of the Open Government Partnership; advisory council member of Fair Share of Women Leaders; and member of the B20 Integrity and Compliance Taskforce.
As chief executive, Robin will continue to implement GRI’s strategy, further strengthening the firm’s positioning within the corporate reporting landscape. Cristina Gil White, who has been interim chief executive of GRI since September 2024, will continue to lead GRI until Robin takes up her role in February.
Robin Hodess said: “I am honoured to be joining GRI at such an important time when people and organisations everywhere are focused on how to achieve a sustainable future. GRI’s sustainability standards are unique in enabling meaningful reporting on the impact of these efforts.
“I look forward to working across the GRI community, and together with partners, to ensure that sustainability reporting drives a thriving, inclusive economy for all.”
Cristina Gil White added: “I celebrate the appointment of Robin as our new chief executive. She brings a unique blend of skills and experience across sectors. The team and I look forward to working alongside Robin to ensure that GRI is a springboard for change, enabling organisations to unlock the value of reporting and deliver measurable results.”
