JO Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) has entered into an agreement with the University of Exeter to carry out research into systemic risk and sustainability.

Both institutions will work together to enhance understanding of global systemic risk related to climate change and explore how this can be integrated into board conversations, and then strategies, at companies around the world. They will offer this information through an executive education programme.

Professor Alexandra Gerbasi and Professor Tim Lenton, climate researchers from the University of Exeter Business School and the University’s Global Systems Institute (GSI), will lead the project working with members of JOHCM’s sustainable investing arm Regnan.

Andrew Parry, head of investments at Regnan and JOHCM and member of the ESG Clarity Committee, commented: “We’re delighted to agree this partnership with University of Exeter. They are at the forefront of research into climate change and other issues around sustainable systems, supporting this research and ensuring our investment teams remain at the cutting edge of sustainability is crucial to our clients.”
