Head of Federated Hermes’ stewardship service, EOS, Hans-Christoph Hirt, and head of ESG integration Michael Viehs, have left the firm to pursue new opportunities, a Federated Hermes’ spokesperson confirmed to ESG Clarity today.
Leon Kamhi, head of responsibility and chair of EOS, and ESG Clarity Committee member, will take on Hirt’s responsibilities for EOS on a permanent basis.
Hirt joined Hermes in 2004 and oversaw the global engagement programme and services that EOS offers. Viehs joined the firm in 2015 and was responsible for the integration of ESG information across the investment strategies.
“We wish them all the very best for the future,” the spokesperson said.
Kamhi has been involved with EOS for more than 10 years, as global corporate and public policy engagement programme from 2012-2014 and as its commercial director from 2009-2012.
His role, which incorporates EOS, public policy and ESG integration teams, won’t formally change but he will take on more fully the strategic oversight of EOS that Hirt had. Day-to-day engagement activities will continue to be led by EOS head of engagement Bruce Duguid, who oversees teams covering engagement activities in the US, Europe, global EM and Asia.
