Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM) has bolstered its sustainability team with the hire of Mona Shah (pictured), Stonehage Fleming’s head of sustainable investments.

She takes up the role of senior sustainability strategist in April and will be based in the firm’s London office.

The move follows the firm’s launch of Holistiq Investment Partners last year – a sustainable investment platform that invests across asset classes in the transition to a green economy.

In her new role, Shah will be responsible for developing sustainable investment solutions for clients, in close collaboration with LOIM’s Holistiq sustainability research and investment teams.

She joins after six years at Stonehage Fleming, where she was portfolio manager of the firm’s multi-asset and equity-only sustainable investment strategies.

Shah was previously head of collectives research at Rathbones.

Jasbir Nizar, UK CEO at Lombard Odier Investment Managers, said: “At LOIM, we continue to invest in talent and investment expertise to help our clients navigate the risks and opportunities emerging from the environmental transition.

“Mona’s in-depth knowledge and extensive experience will be instrumental as we develop solutions for clients seeking attractive investment returns from investing in the transition to a sustainable economy.”
