Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched three actively-managed Article 8 funds.

The new strategies – MS INVF Calvert Global Equity Fund, the MS INVF Calvert Global High Yield Bond Fund and the MS INVF Calvert US Equity Fund – all consider ESG factors as part of their investment processes.

The strategies will be run by Calvert Research and Management, a Morgan Stanley subsidiary.

Vittorio Ambrogi, head of European distribution at MSIM, said: “We continue to see strong investor demand for sustainable funds, which is why we are delighted to bring these strategies to the market.

“The addition of these funds demonstrates our continued focus on delivering best-in-class products and solutions that align investor values with financial outcomes, while also providing investors with a flexible, active approach.”

The Calvert Global Equity fund seeks to maintain over 50% of the portfolio allocated to sustainable investment holdings.

Meanwhile, the high yield bond strategy looks to generate total returns by investing primarily in global high-yield corporate bonds, issued by companies the Calvert team identify as exhibiting sound management of financially material ESG characteristics.

The Calvert US Equity fund will invest in quality companies that, through business operations and practices, exhibit strong management of ESG characteristics.
