City Hive has added Alan Glendon to its team to help grow the number of signatories to the organisation’s ACT Framework.
The ACT standard of corporate culture was launched in May 2022, designed to provide professional investors with a framework to articulate, assess and demonstrate how its external and internal cultural values on diversity, equity and inclusion align.
Earlier this year, City Hive’s Stewardship Council set a target of 50 signatories to the ACT Framework. The most recently published number stands at 17, including firms such as Invesco, Aviva Investors, Federated Hermes and CCLA.
Glendon has 25 years of experience in business development within the investment management space, having worked in sales at Cofunds, Investec AM, F&C AM, Premier AM, Janus Capital International and most recently at Principal Global Investors as sales director in the UK fund distribution team.
In a LinkedIn post, co-CEO of City Hive, Bev Shah, said: “Bringing Alan on board to lead business development marks an exciting chapter for City Hive and ACT. He will play a pivotal role in reaching new milestones. His experience and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to grow and explore new opportunities.”
Glendon commented: “I am delighted to be working with the team at City Hive and the ACT Stewardship Council in helping to make the industry fit for the future. I look forward to working closely with the signatory firms.”
