Morgan Stanley Investment Management has launched two funds in partnership with affiliate Calvert allocating to climate transition stocks and green bonds.
The MS INVF Calvert Sustainable Climate Transition Fund invests in listed global equities whose business models either have a current, direct impact on lowering carbon emissions or are investing in technology or processes that will help facilitate lower carbon emissions in the future.
Meanwhile, the MS INVF Calvert Sustainable Global Green Bond Fund will choose securities from across a spectrum of fixed income asset classes considering sustainability themes, ESG issues and positive and negative contributions towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
John Streur (pictured), president and chief executive officer of Calvert, said: “Bringing together the investment and distribution capabilities of both Calvert and Morgan Stanley Investment Management has allowed us to develop a range of funds for European investors that focus on energy transition and climate change.”
