As our UNCDF columnist points out on p23, March is the signature month for al things women’s empowerment: women’s history month, International Women’s Day and the month to focus on number five of the Sustainable Development Goals – gender equality. So we decided this issue would be entirely focused on diversity and inclusion from women’s perspectives.

Our cover feature dives into diversity data, where huge improvements need to be made, and our lead interviews are with BNY Mellon IM’s CEO Hanneke Smits and Jupiter’s Abbie Llewellyn-Waters.

This month’s RRI takes a look at the performance of funds run by mixed-sex teams, and we also have analysis of the 30% Club’s expansion in Europe and a stock exchange’s role in pushing board diversity.

Furthermore, City Hive’s Bev Shah writes about holding the industry accountable, and Invesco’s Anna Paglia shares her experiences as a working mother in the ETF industry.

The issue is intended as a useful resource for sharing practices that can be put in place with colleagues and clients.
